BIO: Jacque Davis creates art from her home studio in Freeburg, Illinois. With a history in the fiber arts beginning in the late 80”s when she learned traditional quilt making, followed by many years weaving fine laces using silk and linen, Her longtime love of cloth and color has moved her forward where she has worked since 2002 creating art for the wall using cloth, paint, and stitch.
She dyes the cloth she uses and layers a variety of surface design techniques to create cloth she uses as the foundation for her artwork.
Her work has traveled to many exhibits, won numerous awards, and has been purchased for private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
