BIO: A higher being, nature and organic shapes are themes that move through my art. Using a holistic approach I attempt to express an inner energy, a sense of peace in body and soul, and a connection to an inner and higher spirit – a connection with nature and the universe. I have an affinity for trees and leaves and for an ethereal “flow” in my art whether working with fabric, paint or papers. My medium covers a variety of hand dyed and acrylic painted papers and fabrics, and a variety of mediums, often evolving into collage. My latest experiments have included painting on tissue paper and transferring painted images from plastic to paper. I am continuously experimenting with surface design techniques to stretch the imagination of what can be designed or imagined on different surfaces.
